AMBITIONS

Our 5 Year Plan
Our club ’s ambitions are basically two-fold

  1. To climb as high up the Non League Football ladder as possible, with entry to the Football League a realistic possibility.
  2. To vastly improve the infrastructure and facilities of the Ingfield site to benefit our teams, the Junior teams, the Social members and the local community at large.
Aswell as the normal expenses occurred such as players wage bills, travel costs, grounds and clubhouse maintenance, programme production costs, stationary, utility bills etc… we have urgent short and long term projects planned that will need an injection of capital from (hopefully) local sponsors and new fresh ideas from the clubs committee, with this in mind we have put this portfolio together to enable us to show potential sponsors our keenness to make our club an even bigger part of the community than it currently is and has been since 1936.
You will find attached a plan of the ground showing advertising site availability, together with costs for the different styles of sponsorship opportunities currently ongoing at the club.

Recent Achievements (Improvement wise)
Since the membership voted in July 2006, NOT to accept the latest offer to purchase the Ingfield site and to re-locate, in favour of staying at our home of the last 50 years and attempting to improve and develop the existing infrastructure, the following projects have been completed;

  1. The replacement of the seats in our main stand – necessary mainly due to vandalism (these were purchased from Doncaster Rovers Belle Vue ground prior to its demolition, thanks to a donation from Beaumont Residential, these were then stored, refurbished and installed by Ossett Industrial Projects Limited FOC)
  2. The installation of new perimeter fencing on the Dale Street side of the ground.
  3. Fencing off a grass area on the Dale Street side of the ground, with the construction of concrete hard standing in front of it.
  4. Provision of new ‘Dugouts’ to replace the old originals which were in bad state of repair.
  5. Improvements to sections of unsafe handrails and gates around the ground.
  6. Building up, concreting and supplying new handrails and steel fencing around the Disabled Viewing Area (this was done by Ossett Industrial Projects Limited FOC).
  7. The provision of much improved medical room facilities for our club physiotherapist.
  8. Restoration work to our original clubhouse roof and refurbishments to our Function Room suite.
  9. Felting, sealing and painting (sun reflective) of Kit Room & Toilet flat roof (was done by Ossett Industrial Projects Limited FOC).
  10. Removal of old changing rooms, purchase & installation of new changing rooms for juniors and local community and installation of toilet block infront c/w mens, ladies and wheelchair access facilities. (This was procured and installed by Ossett Industrial Projects Limited FOC).

Short Term Ambitions

  1. To cover the Disabled Viewing Area with a steel structure and cladded roof.
  2. Continued restoration and refurbishments to the original clubhouse complex.
  3. The installation of better hospitality boxes at different sites around the ground.
  4. To cover the hard standing area at the Dale Street side of the ground with a steel structure and cladded roof, which would mean that virtually the whole of the ground was covered, vastly improving spectator facilities.

Longer Term Ambitions

  1. To overhaul the playing field, with resurfacing and the installation of better drainage and an automatic watering system.
  2. To resurface the 5 a side pitch to G3 standard, and to install new goalposts and fencing.
  3. To reclaim the boundary at the Gordon Avenue end of the ground, and to install a small sided pitch for the use of junior sides, as well as the local community.
  4. To tarmac the whole of the club car park including proper drainage.
  5. To upgrade the ground capacity from 3500 to 6000.
